Amanda is a Pre-Certified Postpartum Doula and Infant Care Specialist as well as a Certified Postpartum Placenta Specialist who is trained through ProDoula. Ever since she could remember she has always loved being around children and learning about pregnancy, after the birth of her daughter Sydney in December of 2015 that love only grew stronger. "I love helping woman during this exciting time in their lives when everything is new and there is so much to learn, I consider myself very lucky to have the privilege to be able to support these families".
Amanda graduated from Baker College in 2012 with her Associates Degree as a Pharmacy Technician and then in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration. After graduation she worked in the medical field for a few years before having her daughter and deciding to become a doula.
Amanda is a free spirit who loves to explore the restaurants and small business' in the Metro Detroit area, "I love the unique things that you can find in the area that are Michigan based that you know you wont find anywhere else". She also loves to be with her family, doing yoga or jogging, creating DIY projects that she finds on pinterest, and reading.
