Giving birth will be one of the most memorable times of your life and having non-judgmental support during your postpartum period is exactly what we can provide. You're home and the visitors are starting to dwindle along with your after birth high, now what? You no longer have the nurses to answer questions and assist you with changing diapers or feeding baby and it is all starting to get a little stressful. Your partner goes back to work soon and you will be home alone to conquer the world (so it feels like) and you are starting to feel like you are in over your head and that's okay and normal I swear! Our postpartum doulas and infant care specialists are trained with the tools needed to help support you through this new journey as a family.
We can help you design a schedule for everyday living so that you can spend more time bonding and creating memories with your new bundle of joy. Each shift you can expect us to arrive on time and conduct ourselves with professionalism and respect as we hold ourselves to a higher standard. Our doulas have experience with newborns, toddlers, breast and bottle feeding, cloth and disposable diapers as well as basic baby wearing.
What can you expect from your doula?
- Emotional and physical support through your postpartum recovery
- Breastfeeding support and troubleshooting
- Bottle feeding support
- Basic newborn care
- Mother-baby bonding
- Infant soothing
- Light house work and meal preparation
- Sibling care
We want to make you as comfortable as possible during your postpartum recovery. Being able to enjoy your new baby and not have all of the stress of everyday life to think about is part of that. We are here for you and we are able to create a schedule that is specifically tailored to you and your families needs. Your doula is trained and prepared to provide any necessary resources needed that are out of her scope of practice.
*Our doulas work a minimum of 5 hour shifts and a maximum of 12 hour shifts.
